American made July 20, 2010 D. J. Sharp (Mustang, OK) These are heavy glass mugs that will take some knocking around. The best thing I like about them is that they are made in the United States Of America. If you want to help your country and protect your future, Buy USA products when there is a choice.
awesome beerfest trophies! June 15, 2010 Vy Vu (Manteca, CA) i bought these to use as a trophy for our first annual beerfest. i got the mugs engraved at a local shop and it turned out perfect! one got smashed but considering the circumstances (everyone was drunk), i thought that was a success! will definitely buy again next year if it's available. especially at the price! can't be beat.
Not 20 Pyrex ounces, but... March 16, 2010 SLP (Elk Grove, CA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The mugs are fine. Heavy, nicely made and I don't care about a ridge in the handle. In fact, all my mugs have ridges I never noticed until I read reviews mentioning they're not ideal. However, by my Pyrex measuring cup, these hold just over 16 oz and that is filled to the brim. By that measure, they are not: "6 oversized beer mugs with generous 20-ounce capacity." But who needs to drink that much anyway? They are 6 very nice mugs, with more than adequate capacity, an a great "no-slip" ridge on the inside of the handle. I like them and would buy more if I need them.
Good buy February 18, 2010 M. Guth (Portland, OR) I bought these as a present for someone, and we use them every day. The glass is thick and solid, I get the impression they wouldn't chip or break easily, I put them in the dishwasher all the time, and the glass is the perfect size for a large root beer float or a frosty beer.
Nice heavy mugs at a great price December 15, 2009 T. ROBERTSON (San Diego, CA United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I really like these mugs. I'm a home brewer and specifically got these to keep in the freezer for when I want a cold brew. They've worked excellent for this purpose and have held up well. Being clinked around when hand washing or being shoved in the freezer hasn't been a problem and they make for a very sturdy and solid mug.
They all have blemishes here or there in the glass. Nothing structural or that would be a problem but just minor stuff. I mention it only for those looking for "perfect" mugs. I think they add character to the glasses though so don't mind them.
The only minor complaint is the seam from manufacturing is very pronounced. It runs through the handle, across the bottom then up the other side. The way most people hold a mug it won't be hitting their lips though so isn't a huge issue.
