Product Description The classic Libbey Geo glassware set features a 1" thick solid glass base, as cool and crisp looking as if it were made of ice. The base gives each tumbler a pleasing weight in your hand, and the flared rim adds to the timeless sophistication. The 16-pc. set includes eight 15-1/2-oz. coolers and eight 13-1/2-oz. double old-fashioned glasses. Dishwasher safe. Not recommended for use in the microwave. Made in USA.

Solid set of glasses. February 2, 2010 Mike Meyers (Seattle, WA USA) Don't buy these for grandma unless she is seeing Mark McGwire's trainer. Personally I love em, but they are heavy and to this point would appear to be solid glassware. Yes, I saw a couple reviews suggesting breakage, but I would personally be more worried about dropping them on, and damaging, my marble counter top. I guess time will tell, but after using them for almost three months now I am very impressed. I would definitely recommend these.
Nice, Simple, Contemporary Glasses July 24, 2009 sfobayguy I love the heavy base and tapered design, the top is thin and easy/comfortable to drink out of. Glasses have a nice look that goes with everything, fits in dishwasher well - does not tip or hit top and they are durable. I have had them for 3 months and no broken glasses yet. I can see how any glass with a thinner lip could break though, so use some care. I personally only like thin lipped glases and coffee mugs, so worth the slight extra caution to me. I had the ribbed bistro style canning jar or working type glasses before these and could not stand the heft and thick lip on them anymore.
Broken Glasses June 18, 2009 Robin Madison 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These glasses were looked great and were very heavy upon arrival, but one or two of them were broken, so now I have a partial set of great looking heavey glasses. I wanted to send them back, but shipping for return would have cost almost as much as the glasses cost me originally. I gave two stars, because the glasses were great but unusable. I would not suggest purchasing these online. If you can find them in a store, then they would be great.
Love this!!!!! May 28, 2009 Allyson Scott (Philadelphia PA) My husband and I love these glasses because the bottom is very thick and the glasses haven't broke yet! Great find!
good buy! Well packaged. Came on time. May 7, 2009 Lauren Rudy (Kennebunkport, ME) Product came on time in double boxing with adequate packing material.
This item is sold for a fraction of the price from what Crate and Barrel had been. I believe C&B are discontinuing this style in their line (York Series). I have used these glasses for 6 years and needed a few more to accommodate for the occasional casualty and larger party needs.
